SSAT Conversion Charts

Alright, so I am planning to take the SSATs next Saturday (the 12th) and took a practice test. I have been preparing; this really isn't last minute btw.

Anyways, I took a reading test, and I saw that if you got a 30 raw score you already had an approximate 78% percentile? Which means that you got 8 questions wrong, if you do a little math.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but is that really true? Because I have been getting about 4 wrong in practice tests on average...and if I end up getting around an 80% that might really hurt me in the admissions, as well as my final score...

I'm not completely sure how the scoring works, I know it's based off of how well you did compared to other people.

So...basically, I'm asking if the scores in the conversion charts are realistic.

Well since there is only one week left, you might find studying roots and prefixes helpful. Also, take a look at practice tests and try to study any words you don’t know, because they might pop up on the real test. You never know :P

WishStar, do your best to get a score around your average. There is a big difference between 30 and 35. According to SSATB, they are equivalent to 78 and 94 percentiles, respectively.
