what kind of score do i need to aim for to get into Andover or Deerfield? I do sports but other than that, i dont have much except academics

You don’t need to get 99% to get into a top school, let me just start off with that. Andover and Deerfield have very high average scores, with Andover I think at 94%. But getting a really good score doesn’t necessarily guarantee admission. My friend got in the high 90s on all three sections, with 99% overall, and was waitlisted. I, on the other hand, got 78% in reading, 78% in math, and 99% on verbal, 94% overall, and got in.

I would say aim for the 90s overall, but don’t stress too much about it. As long as you’re well-rounded and you get a decent score, there isn’t that much difference between a 90% and a 99%. At least that’s the way I see it.

If i get under 90% in any of the tests i will be really disapointed, i found all the practices very easy. Also I dont have very much to say about my academics that the admissions offices will understand, im from the uk
