St. John's as a University. . .

This isn't really a question but more of a discussion, really.

I just visited St. Johns for a tour (and let me say, their student ambassadors and everyone are so nice and knowledgable and everything! XD), and I fell in love with the school. I've heard a lot of things about St. Johns, like how it supposedly doesn't feel like a college, or that the academics aren't as good as other schools, but when I walked around, it seemed so. . . perfect for me.

It's like a gated community, its own little neighborhood that feels safe and clean and open. I liked the way the buildings looked and the grass and trees, and even though I'm not really religious, I don't mind the church and the statues and everything. I've only ever visited one other school, though, so I'm really biased and inexperienced in my explanation.

But what were your opinions, if you've ever visited? Have you actually enrolled there? How are the people, the dorms, the life? What about the school made it right or wrong for you?

Please share your stories and experiences; I'm really curious!

I’ve heard the same thing, and I spent the night with a friend who is a freshman there now (I’m coming from out of state) and loved it. I’ve been accepted and there’s no doubt that I’ll be going there next year. I think it’s one of those schools where if you have a few bad moments here and there it’s just going to sour the whole entire experience for you, but that can happen anywhere… I hope that helped!

Please tell me more. I got in with a scholarship.
thanks

Are there better schools? yes. Are there worse schools? yes. If it feels right for YOU, then there are no better schools. Go to the school you feel the best about

I went last year class of 2015 and hated it. Most people in my class transferred out. It sucked a lot actually. Queens is horrible and youll have nothing to do on weekends. Feel free to message me and ask any questions! Or we can talk through fb

I have been at STJ for 3 years. I am approaching my senior year and I could not be happier. STJ has provided me with so much opportunities and experiences. Ranging form the various plunges that you can do to help those in need. To the career fair that bring employers to STJ to allow the students to apply for internships as well as a path towards future employment. STJ always has something going on, even on the weekend, from various sporting events to live love learn where there is either free food or a fun filled activity. College is what you make of it no matter where you go if you do not try to have fun and be active it will be a terrible experience. Lastly no matter where you go you will not like everything about it but its the good experiences that matter not the bad ones.
