I know St. Johns University is not acclaimed for its business program, but is it really going to be that significant if I was to go here instead of Fordham's Gabelli school of business? My goal is to get a MBA at a graduate school. Will my choice of Tobin over Gabelli really have a drastic effect on my success in finding a good job in the business field (high salary, big firm)? I got into both Fordham and St. johns, but feel like St Johns will be a more comfortable school for me (diversity, location, financial support). Will the undergrad school I go to matter that much in the long run? Parents want me to go to Fordham because it is better academically, but I feel more comfortable spending 4 years at St. johns which is inferior in terms of academics to Fordham. Is Tobin (St. johns) good? Need answers ASAP before May 1st (deadline day!). Thanks In Advance.

You should check out the schools websites and see where their students get internships ect and career placement stats. Also re: grad school depends if you are going straight from undergrad or to work 1st which brings you back to which school can get you better internship opportunities and which has better Alumni networking in the business field. Personally I think I would give the nod to Fordham but I’m no expert. Ask in the Business forum maybe they could give you some feedback.
