Hey CC, posing questions again for Upenn but this time for standardized testings.
Since Penn requires you to send all of your standardized testings, does this include AP Tests you've taken in the past - reason being I've gotten straight 4s on every test which do not count for credit so I do not see any benefit in sending unless its required.
Subject Tests - taking the Nov. 2nd test, I know Upenn says its allowed and that we should indicate sending it immediately, but how do we mark it off to send to Upenn before/during the test? Collegeboard has the option to send scores right now before you take them so will that option suffice? (Grah sorry so lengthy)
SAT - For the SAT Is, sending the scores through college board is the right way no??
Thanks in advance!

I am not aware of any highly selective college/university that requires or expects that you send AP scores. In any case, if you do self report on your application there is no harm.

The official AP scores are used by Penn post admissions and acceptance to determine if you get college credit for the AP course and/or if you can place out of introductory courses. Penn has a very high bar for APs. Only 5s count.

You have to send SAT scores through the official college board process. Self reporting these scores is “not” sufficient.

Alright thanks! I was aware that Penn only accepts 5s for credits cept for languages, so by official college board process, you mean by accessing your scores and clicking send right?

You can self report your AP scores on the common application. Don’t pay to send them officially at this time. If you take more your senior year you can send them for free - and it will include ALL AP tests - to whatever school you will be attending. If you are NOT taking any APs in your senior year - pay just the one time to send the scores to the one school you will be attending.
