yes it is for me too!
Stanfordās website still says April 1st is the release date for decisions. Anyone think theyāre likely to change it?
Nah, they may tweet or post that itās been changed, but Iām uncertain that theyāll change their site.
One week!
Would any of you be willing to say whether yourāre a legacy? Iāve heard that Stanford likes to defer legacies rather than reject them outright, maybe as a way to ālet you down easy.ā In other words, deferring legacies even when they never intended to let them in, rather than rejecting outright at REA. Just wondering if anyone has a sense if thatās a thing.
@globaleyes Iām a legacy. Guess thatās not a good sign then, huh?
March 30th @ 4pm PST.
Decisions coming out on 30/03 at 16:00 PST. The admissions office just tweeted this announcement
Many decisions coming out next weekā¦
WOW THIS IS GETTING SO REAL
THIS JUST GOT SO REAL
@lfrost Iām trying my best not to freak out omgggg
Howās everyone feeling? I canāt believe that every thing we have been working for is going to be culminated by the end of this week. Itās almost relieving to know that after this month, weāll know where we are going for college.
@mmish321 At first I was so upset that I had to wait, but now I wish I had another week lol.
@globaleyes hi. iām sort of a legacy ā two of my brothers go/went to stanford but iāve been told it doesnāt really count as legacy unless itās a parent/grandparentā¦ also they didnt do undergrad, just masters and phdā¦ does it count? was i deferred by courtesy ?
@andyarrgz I am also a legacy bc my mom went to stanford for grad school, but not for undergrad. Iām really hoping that what theyāre saying isnāt true and that I actually have somewhat of a chance instead of getting automatically rejected. I would think that if it were the case that they defer legacies to make families feel better about their kids not getting into where they went, that Stanford would defer way more people instead of limiting it to only 8% of the REA pool. Anyone agree?
@amigadelauni I was thinking the same thing. If it is true that they defer legacies to make the families feel better, they must only defer the best legacies otherwise the deferral rate would be higher. Either they donāt do courtesy deferrals at all or they only do it for a select few. If they only defer for the select few, those few deferred would probably be good enough applicants to have a legitimate chance of being admitted after deferral.
@amigadelauni @soccergod414 im really hoping they didnt courtesy-defer us :(())
@soccergod414 I really hope youāre right! Thanks for bringing my spirits and hopes up!
Will Stanford email decisions or post to their portal?
