@jd2121 Likely next Friday, Dec. 9, in the afternoon for California, which means the small hours on Saturday in Greece. But the date isn’t certain yet.
Great, thanks a lot!
Two weeks :-S
I can’t be the only one this nervous.
Is it confirmed that decisions are coming out on the 9th?
@woakley5 No, but that’s what the trends seem to show.
I applied to Management Science & Engineering with CS+X as a number 2. Are all of you guys going for CS?
@CiteYourSources I’m going for CS and CS+X as number 2
Same - CS and CS+X
Can’t wait for next Friday.
Does anyone know what time these are being released usually?
Wait haha that made no sense but you know what I mean
I believe my friend said around 3pm on the Friday before the 15th… PST. I guess we will know for sure next Wed when they will supposedly email us to confirm that it will be on the 9th… 10 days!!! AAAAAH.
Just to make us feel better – probably most decisions are done by now, or will be this week, I would imagine.
@CiteYourSources I applied for Mechanical Engineering as my first choice and Engineering Physics as my second.
@CiteYourSources I also applied to Management Science and engineering but with Economics as my second.
@woakley5 it is very much likely
freaking out people
How do you guys keep your head above water? Senior year sucks.
@usastudent101 I’m somewhat lucky to be doing this almost 2 years after graduation so I don’t have to think about grades that much.
@vasodys are you a transfer?
@usastudent101 No, I just had to complete an 18 month military service in Cyprus
@vasodys Oh… Coming from the US, I’m not really familiar with that… Is it mandatory/can you describe how it works there? Super cool to meet someone from so far away!
@usastudent101 Basically, once you graduate HS, you have to enlist in the July that follows. Everyone in Cyprus has to do this, unless they don’t have a Cypriot citizenship. The service used to be 2 full years, but it was just decreased to 18 for my year, and 14 for the years to come. We have the military service because Cyprus is divided between Greek and Turkish Cypriots, so the Cypriot side wants to be prepared for the worst, if we are ever attacked again, which is highly unlikely in my opinion. What we do in the military varies from person to person, but in general, we have our basic training in the first month, and we are then assigned to different divisions and train on our division’s specialties. I’m a soldier in the communications division, and we’re responsible for keeping communications active at all times.
I’m going for CS+X as a first choice and then Economics. They’re trying to do the same thing ^^ for mandatory military service in Greece, which is ridiculous.
