@jd2121 The problem with service in Greece is that you can be sent a day’s journey away from home, so you basically never see your family till you’re done.
@CiteYourSources I’m not going for CS but I applied for management science and engineering as well
I just want to point out that when you apply to Stanford, you are not applying for a particular major or program. You indicate areas interest on the application. There are currently no impacted majors at Stanfod. Students declare major by the end of sophomore year.
Hi guys,
I have a really weird question for you. My high school counselor just told me that they receive news about admissions (whether you are accepted or rejected) on the 1st of December, though they aren’t allowed to tell us. I feel that it is kind of impossible and senseless, and Stanford wouldn’t tell out schools 10 days before us! Anyone know anything about this?
@JacobsCreek I don’t think that’s a thing… ? I’m having a really hard time believing that.
@JacobsCreek I don’t think the decisions are done that early.
@JacobsCreek - they probably talked about Questbridge matching. Those are due December 1st.
My high school was not notified. I had to give my high school a copy of my acceptance letter. I am pretty sure they don’t notify anyone at a high school for typical admits. I don’t know if there might be some communication about Questbridge applicants.
For questbridge I’m pretty sure your school doesn’t know. I’m a questbridge finalist and in order for me to see my decision I have to log into my questbridge portal which I’m pretty sure my high school doesn’t have access too.
I became a semi-finalist for a scholarship today. Do you guys think that this is significant enough to email my admissions officer about? (it’s the Cola-Cola scholarship)
@Seaturtle12 Wouldn’t hurt to do so, so go for it!
Generally, when is it appropriate to email my admissions officer? Also, when would it be considered too late to affect my application?
@CuriousBobby - email AO when you have something significant to report or a major change in your app or a question for which you can’t find the answer in any published mode.
Do you know what is your admissions officer? How do you find out?

@TheLastofUs9 - you sure you are applying to Stanford but could not google the above link?
Has anyone else been having trouble with the IDOC? My federal tax return form has been processed already, but my W2 forms still haven’t and it’s been two weeks.
@kbn2015 get in contact with the college board, they will tell you what is wrong. Mine was the same and they said I was missing a signature
Am I the only one hitting this thread 5x a day, looking for updates? When I know full well we still have to WAIT??? AAAAAAH.
@kath00 - I have not even applied to S yet and I still check this thread several times a day :))
