I really really really hope that I got accepted… Im assuming our destiny is already decided because the decisions must have already been made by the officers?
I keep flipping a coin three times in a row to see how lucky I am :))
Correct @woakley5 and @Dubudubu.
Idk @alexameagan21, I think I’d rather do it alone. haha the rejection…
@tjraub1011 research past years and/or earlier discussions…It will most likely be the ninth
In a perfect world, everyone on this thread would be accepted and we would all sit in a circle and sing kumbaya on the farm during admit weekend and become the bestest of friends and oh my god I don’t think I can emotionally handle a rejection :-SS
@CiteYourSources You never know!
I don’t think I can handle it either. I’ve become way too hopeful to turn back now. haha
That would be fantastic @CiteYourSources. I hope to see you all there!
I will be at work on Friday, so it will be a good distraction to delay until decisions are relased it but nerve wracking with all my coworkers and friends around
I have an Economics test tomorrow and I’m staring at my notes just thinking about Friday
has anyone seen any results threads where QB scholars have posted? I keep checking the REA results thread and no one has posted.
Does every applicant get an interview?
@2016december Nope! It depends on the availability of alumna in your location.
@2016december Nope. California students don’t. (Which really sucks because I’m killer during interviews and a 40 minute one would have been so nice)
That will change soon. They are recruiting alumni in our area to do interviews (in Cali)… I cannot do it while DD is applying obviously but can sign up after this Friday. I think it would be great for Stanford to do interviews for as many candidates who want it.
I took the SAT and got a 1290 with a 700 in English and a 590 in Math. Then I got a 30 on the ACT, with a 35 in Reading and English, a 26 in Science, and a 25 in Math. I didn’t do very well on the ACT essay, but I got a perfect score on the SAT essay. Anyone think I have a chance of Stanford just looking at my test scores (especially the math sections)? Because according to stats, I have no chance whatsoever, but the average ACT score in my school is a 25, so maybe they’ll take into account the fact that my school isn’t all that great? Opinions? (I applied for Human Biology).
How do we get the decision? Email or letter? Would the email outright say i got denied? I hope this comes out early because I have my parents counting down to the 15th and they’ll be disappointed.
@PinkQuetzal9 depends on your race/ethnicity (whether or not you’re an underrepresented minority) and any hooks you might have
@clightfield24 Common theme is that Dec. 9th we receive an email asking us to log into the portal, where we are then told accepted/denied/deferred.
Mexican, First Generation, did Dual Enrollment, not sure if the last one’s a hook?
@PinkQuetzal9 I’m a firm believer that there is soooo much more that truly weighs in on one decision of whether you’ll get in or not. You have hooks, some will get in with similar test scores without hooks and whatnot. Nobody here has the ability to evaluate or is able to offer you any more than just pure guesses because none of us here work in Montag Hall. Best of luck.
Actually I believe this Wednesday we will receive an email directing us to log in on Friday at a certain time (3pm-ish) to the Stanfod portal. When you log in on Friday, it will say accepted/denied/deferred. If you don’t log in by Saturday, then you get a reminder email to log in. .
That was the process last year anyway…
Sooo, if we don’t get the email on Wednesday, then we are not finding out till next week…
