@Cabothedog That’s exactly how I feel.
For so long, this coming Friday felt so far away. I’ve probably envisioned every possible outcome at least a dozen times.
Now that we’re so close, I’m struggling with the fact that we’ll actually be finding out in a few days!
@PinkQuetzal9 I agree. I spent a month on the campus throughout my junior summer for a particle physics course and fell in love with the weather, innovative atmosphere, academics, people… It felt like the perfect blend…
If anyone would like to take a peek at my arts portfolio and give feedback that would be awesome!!!

@ivybound0211 I can’t judge cause I don’t dance but you seem so good ((from a nondancer perspective))
@PinkQuetzal9 its excellent Computer Science department, which has Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision Lab, attracts me from the beginning. It, also, has a beautiful campus and great diversity.
@PinkQuetzal9 the students all seem to be in awe of each other…there’s a sense of mutual respect that’s hard to find in other top universities. Also, having lived on the east coast my entire life, I want to experience what the west coast is like. Snow is exhausting.
@IvyBound0211 Amazing portfolio, especially liked the self choreography. See ya at Stanford, dude!
@triplehelix hey, where are you from the east coast?
@Oscardinho I’m from the Boston area. You?
Try HL Math, HL Physics, HL CS and HL Econ with a Math EE
@PinkQuetzal9 Interdisciplinary science majors, its proximity to Silicon, and endless academic resources (Undergrad Research, Study Abroad, co-terms, etc.).
Anecdotally, every Stanford student that I have met just loves and adores this school. When I visited peer schools in the east coast, I received mixed responses from their students. I want to enjoy those connections at Stanford.
Anyone know if they still send snail mail decisions in addition to email?
@triplehelix Maine :D. It’s been snowing a lot this week.
@Ivybound11 You’re extremely talented- I was really impressed by the acrobatics and your leaps. From a dancer perspective, I think that you can work on keeping your center in your pirouettes and a la secondes- improving your turns would elevate your dancing even higher. Tbh I have no idea what Stanford is looking for in the portfolio, but I would say that that was excellent.
@Oscardinho hopefully a year from now we’ll be living in constant sunshine! #eastcoastbeastcoast but the west is worth a try
Good luck everyone! The wait is almost over. Hang in there, and if you want someone to talk to PM me. Anxiety is best when shared.
@fgcollegehopeful im in the same boat i really hope they dont weigh first semester senior grades that heavily, since i’ve worked super hard for straight As the past three years. hopefully we get in tho
Comment if your a URM
Lol people relax, I got 4 B’s and 3 C’s freshman year, 2 C’s, 6 B’s, and 1 A sophomore year… And I still applied to Stanford.
does anyone know what time they’ll be sending decisions out this Friday?
@applicant34003 3 pm PST
