@vasodys That’s the spirit! @Oscardinho “Close enough” yeah I was just a few hundred miles off there lmao
I love it when people start watching that movie, and it starts off all funny and light-hearted and then stuff happens and then everyone like “oh.” good stuff.
@vasodys There’s another win in there! You’ll be so tired after staying up to watch the movie that if the outcome on Friday isn’t what you hoped for, you can just pass out! (Who knows when you’d wake up again)
The Stanford Office of Undergraduate Admission will release decisions to Restrictive Early Action applicants on Friday, December 9 at 3:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time.
Decisions will be available on the Application Status Page starting at 3:00 p.m. Students were referred to this page in their application acknowledgement email. If you are a Restrictive Early Action applicant and have not yet logged on to your Application Status Page, check your email from December 6 for instructions on how to create a password using your unique PIN. The Office of Undergraduate Admission will close at 3:00 p.m. PST on Friday, December 9 and will reopen at 8:30 a.m. PST on Monday, December 12.
There was a senior at my high school last year who applied early action and he thought he was a shoo-in because he was double legacy and he had good stats. When he got rejected, he went absolutely berserk. He stole some alcohol from a grocery store and then drove his car into a pole. It was a pretty big story at my school. Stanford really dodged a bullet by not accepting him.
@vasodys I think kath00 means that people might complain that their decisions haven’t come out yet exactly at 3:00 pm, not that they’d complain that they didn’t get in haha
@ASAPJAZZY I know he had to go to some youth boot camp. I have no clue where he is now. His parents are both extraordinarily rich so he’s probably doing well, but I don’t think any college would have accepted him after that incident.
Also, I have no clue how he didn’t get in the first place. Living in close proximity to Stanford, I’m sure his parents must have connections with the admissions department. Also, he could have had professionals write his essays and his stats were Stanford-caliber. It just goes to show you how good adcoms are at recognizing personality discrepancies and seeing your true personality through your writings.
