I haven’t gotten an email from Stanford???
@ingramkobe I haven’t either, you shouldn’t worry about it.
@ingramkobe Me neither. They send the email to those who haven’t created their portal yet.
yeah guys don’t worry, they will send you an email telling you there has been an update on the portal. Let’s hope for the best and good luck to everybody
Hey guys, sending love and luck to you all! Even tho I didn’t apply ea to Stanford, I’ll probably be on this page and I’ll probably be as nervous as you guys!
@dewrrrett @vasodys I mean, that makes perfect sense. You can have the most amazing stats, but if you don’t come off as genuine, then you have no chance.
Having connections at Stanford would most likely be incredibly helpful, and if he had come off as genuine in his application, he most definitely would’ve been accepted.
It makes me wish my parents had connections over there. Haha
Part of me is happy that I don’t need my parents to help my chances of getting in, but the other part of me wishes they did have connections

Anyway… 32 hours left!
Why does this feel as festive as if we’re counting down to a new year or something? Ahhh! I’m just a big ball of nerves right now!
@callmegray @MyNameIsMichael @pooka3000 @Waiting2exhale do you think the portfolio could be advantageous in the admission’s decision?
@IvyBound0211 I watched your video and it is quite impressive dancing blind folded… Hope you get in. Good luck.
@IvyBound0211 Of course!!! And I am quite sure that you think so too, since you submitted one haha
@Ivybound0211 I really hope so because I submitted one too haha
Good luck to each and every one of you. We (my son was already admitted) hope to see you there.
I am pretty sure art portfolios are compared against each other to a certain extent.
@AznDude525 Art Portfolios are sent for evaluations by relevant experts in the field. The evaluation is available to AO.
@Ivybound0211 Your portfolio will paint another side of you just like any essay really. As long as you show commitment in that area throughout the rest of your application, it will def help! But I don’t think it’s like being recruited as an athlete - AOs will still look at and judge the rest of your application as if you didn’t have the portfolio. But at this point, it’s been decided so good luck! I hope I might see you at the farm!
@theglowingdragon - Yes. Stanford will also send a snail mail letter. With a kind handwritten note from your adcom about why they chose you. And when you go to Admit Weekend, there is a small lunch with your adcom where you get to talk to him/her at length.
@madredos Aw man, knowing that is gonna make my rejection letter sting so much more lol.
