hahahahahahaha...

oh man, I can't wait.

hahahahahahaha...

oh man, I can't wait.

my friends are getting sooooo sick of me counting down the days until the 15th. i shouldn't remind everyone though, in case i don't get in. that would make for some awkward conversations the next school day.

haha sunny903 are you kidding?? it will be blatantly obvious just by looking at me on the 15th whether or not i got in.....actually i think i'll be crying either way. lol i'm such a wuss. and my friend just got into dartmouth this afternoon----i'm so jealous, and now even more nervous

lol well none of us will know until after school gets out anyway... full weekend recovery.. though for many of us, it will take much longer than that.
but i'm not going to school on the 15th anyway, cause I'm going to a concert on the 14th, so I'll be pretty much passed out the next day... and then wake up to check the decision... and then fall back into hibernation if I have to.

they're posting it WHERE on the stanford website =O

i didn't tell anyone i applied early because i didn't want them bothering me about dec. 15th! :/ they all think i applied regular

^

including your parents?

everytime i llook at the name of this thread, I almost p i s s myself

ROFL

caughtinbetween-- really?? there are 84 people in my class and more than 70 applied early somewhere, so everyone is reaally nervous for the 14th/15th/16th because that's when most people hear.

yeah, my parents know and my counselors/ teachers i asked for letters of rec. from. at my school like EVERYONE goes to the state university or the neighboring state universities. there are very few who go off to prestigious universities, not because they couldn't get in, but because they choose not too

For me, it's definitely unusual. I'm the first from my school (along with my brother) in a long time to apply to top colleges, so practically everyone in the whole school seems to know.
Makes for many awkward moments as most assume we're getting in, while we know the statistical probability. (or improbability)

acutally it works the same way here, unfortunately. everyone tells me "oh you applied to stanford?? you'll get in, i'm sure", but in reality they have no idea how competitive it is. and these are people who are applying to ivies and other top schools......

I hate it when people do that...
and then they turn around and are the same people who say you won't get int when you're back is turned...
even my best friends did that to me... I was pretty POed...
especially since one of them applied to Cornell ED with C's for grades and CP2 classes... and the other applied to Princeton ED
they have no right to talk

yea i hate it when people assume they'll get into HYPS and ivies just cuz they hav a 4.0 or a 2400. SOme pplz from my school are applying early and they think they'll make it....its more comeptitive than they can imagine, plus im applying =)
-not being stuck up, but there really isnt any competition within my school....in the county, there is a hellload of competition...
They say there aren't quotas for schools but thats the only way to deal with the issue of "context."
