Stanford Financial Aid Recieved

For those of you who were accepted, how much financial aid did you receive?

How would they know? You don't submit financial aid info until January/February....

All my Fin. Aid stuff went in already. 'Cept for tax returns...

-Ender

Sorry... let me clarify my question. >_> What was your ESIMATED financial aid?

A whopping $2,600...

Better bring out the bubbly :)

bump.......

like Bri, I qualified for $2,600, IN LOANS haha :( I'll prolly get a campus job or sumthin

Hmm.. as an SCEAer, if I get accepted, can I send in my financial info and get info about financial aid quicky? Or, because I missed the first-run, will I have to wait until may like everyone else?

Hmm... that's something you'll have to ask the financial aid office

I have the same question. I found somewhere on their website that if you miss the deadline, then your fin aid will be handled on a rolling basis.

wait miss the deadline for the submission of what??? we already filed our css profiles....are you guys talking about the FAFSA???? IM NERVOUS TELLL ME PLEASE :)

I did the same thing as you guys and I jsut called- they said if you submit the profile right away you'll get an estimate in a couple of weeks. The actual awards don't get sent out until april though (still before the May 1st reply date). And when I asked since I missed the nov. 1 deadline for CSS am I still applicable for financial yes, the guy said "yes yes absolutely positively yes."

2600 in loans seems to be a popular figure. I guess it's their way of giving us something for filling out that stupid form (my dad was like "I don't give anyone these figures"). Ah well, at least it was a nice gesture. BTW, for those of you who got the whopping 2600 in loans...are you even going to continue the fin aid app process?

$2600 here too. Maybe there's some kind of connection with that 2600 hacker magazine. Although it wasn't exactly 2600 so probably not. I'll probably only continue the process if it has really good interest.

EFC was like 14.7k
aid was like 23k
loans was like 2.2k

is that good? bad? i really have no experience in such matters...

That's good if you can pay what they expect you to pay. Obviously you fared better than those of us who got $2600 loans only.

It is definitely good (well, how I see it). The quality of the aid depends on how much you needed and if it fit your expectation.

Estimated 4,000 in loans for me.

It seems like Stanford wasn't that good w/ financial aid this year... =(
