My son got a B+ in a summer Stanford Computer Science course, which he took to challenge himself. This grade lowers both his weighted and unweighted GPA, so should he report it on UC application or skip it since he’s not required to report extra curricular courses. He’s only applying to UCs and a few CSUs.
If the CS course is UC and CSU transferable, then it has to be reported on the UC/CSU application and it will included in the UC/CSU GPA calculation if taken the summer prior to 10th grade through the summer prior to 12th grade.
Also an official transcript will need to be sent to the school where your student eventually matriculates.
