Stanford Waitlist class of 2018 Discussion

@gravitas2‌ haha yeah i know…btw a few college yields have been released
darthmouths increased by 8%
penn’s by 3%
my hope relies on the logic that an yield increase in a few college has to be met by a yield decrease in a few others (hopefully stanford)
not having too much hope tho

@gravitas2 Oh, I just posted without reading the posts above me hahahaha whoops. Based on Facebook groups I’m in, some other schools have admitted waitlisters but Stanford doesn’t seem to have any.

Anyone heard from their admissions officers?
Btw how many updates have u guys sent

Any news guys ???

Has anyone heard anythig from Stanford at all

nothing yet…

…ye old tumbleweed blows…

Oddly enough stanfurd is yet to publish its yield

Does the silence on Stanford’s end mean anything? In the last two years they’ve published their yield on May 14th. Since they’ve accepted lesser students this year, my guess is that people will get accepted off the wait list.

@rsingh211‌ yes I’m surprised by Stanford not releasing it’s yield or even informing us about any developments
Seems suspicious

Since they’ve only taken 2138 kids, if the yield is anything below 79.5% they’ll definitely admit some of you guys. It the yield is same as last year, atleast 70 will be taken off the waitlist (which is kinda unlikely).

I expect 20-50 to be taken off, but let’s see.

@rishabmeh3‌ are u also on the Stanford waitlist

Nope, he was accepted

I’m waiting, although I don’t expect to get off. International here btw

@FUnderwood nah I got lucky and got in. However, I have a couple of close friends on the waitlist.

i consider stanfords late replying a good sign

btw im international from somewhere next to india :p

even if they manage to admit people off the wait list, how many internationals do u think they’d admit

@funderwood Pakistan or Bangladesh? I’m from the latter but living elsewhere.

That’s a tricky one. Really depends if you applied for aid or not. For them to give an international student aid, they must have an international student who rejected them with the same/ more aid.

For non-aids idk it might as well be the same chance as an American. They might take diversity into consideration.
