Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith

You really think Palpatene could have beaten Windu? I'm not so sure about that. He was doing nasty and to me he seemed like one of the better Jedi fighting wise...

yeah but still
the jedi arent that powerful in the movie..i mean they get killed easily. The cartoon makes them like supermen tho...mace windu blows up maybe 500 droids with one force push. Palpatine is supposed to be superpowerful right...plus after anakin cuts off windu's arm he suddenly became powerful again after his period of feigned weakness. I like Obi wan the best...he seems to be the most down to earth and has a witty sense of humor. Padme...I love Natalie Portman but her role seriously sucked. Especially the "love scene" between her and Anakin.

I couldve acted better than portman in episode III. and im a male.

the jedi get killed too easily in episodes II and III. it really hurts the jedi mystique. i honestly believe george lucas made episodes I-III being conscious of the money he receives from marketing star wars products.

Anakin is obscenely good-looking. I would go to the dark side for him any day... horrible priorities by Natalie. I was sad watching all his hottness burn at away at the end there. =)

Woulda been sweet to see Vader put Palpatine in one of his famous choke-holds after finding out that Padm

"I remember my friend was into that scene with Windu. She's never stayed awake during any Star Wars and right before anakin cuts off his arm she yells " NO ANAKIN DON'T DO IT." It was priceless. I think the conversion was quick but you have to say it wasn't a total conversion.... he totally doesn't trust the jedi. He knows when he gets there that he is going to have to make a choice, and keep palpatine alive. The reason he went to the emperor's instead of staying where he was told to stay was because he needs him alive to save padme. So you can't say it was that abrupt. the inner turmoil and lust were there."

i think he wanted to go with Windu so he could get the secret to saving Padme out of Palpatine BEFORE he died/was arrested as leverage. He doesn't need to become apprenticed to the Emperor to save padme, he only needs the secret...he could've easily defeated Palaptine in his weakened state, and since he was 'fresh' he could've definitely used that as leverage and gotten the secret out of Palpatine. He just automatically bows down to Palaptine after he kills Windu...without rhyme or reason - what made that change?

Yeah, he needs the emperor alive...but that doesn't mean he has to be his apprentice...besides, once Windu is killed, the Emperor is no longer in danger of death...so at what point does he want to become his apprentice? Palpatine need no longer to be 'saved' - in fact, in the scenario above, Anakin has the 'high ground' b/c he just arrived at the fight and is 'fresh' so can easily subdue the Emperor for leverage or a better deal. No need to bow down.

I loved the liberty dies quote as well. It was, by far, the highlight of the entire movie, for me. Though that's not saying much...

ALSO: windu and palpatine seem pretty evenly matched in their fight, with windu quite possibly being more powerful. In the yoda v. palpatine fight...yoda seriously...gets pounded. Isn't he supposed to be at least as powerful/even more than Windu?

but why did he feel the need to kill little kids? seems like a big jump to me.

didn't he kill kiddies in II after his mom died?

nah those were soulless sand people. and he was really angry at that moment, but i dont see how the moment of windu's death was as enraging as his mother's death.

Yea, definitely not. His mother's death was a key point.

:)

I gotta rank this one very close to Return of the Jedi. So it's maybe tied at #3 of all time best Star Wars movies. The other prequels were godawful movies, but Lucas redeemed himself with this one. I think the scene where Anakin has his legs chopped off and is screaming and burning in the ashes is the most intense scene I've seen in any movie. Especially with Obi-Wan yelling "You were the chosen one! You were my brother!" Lucas isn't exactly a master of dialogue, but he got that perfectly right.

What makes the originals so much better is that the characters and their relationships were so much more fun and interesting, and it was just a lot more magical. However, I think ROTS was the best a Star Wars movie could possibly be without Han Solo in it. I also think there's room for a sequel, but I guess Lucas is sticking with his 6 movie goal.

About Windu being so powerful against the Emperor, I think Palpatine was holding back. He was testing Anakin. Windu was powerful, but not in Yoda's league. That was an intense scene, though, wasn't it?

yeah, yoda def fought better than windu. Palpatine seemed to just be toying with him...with yoda though, palpatine had to fight hard. There were times that he was caught off guard by yoda's strength..especially when his lightning got absorbed by yoda and backfired. That was pretty cool =)

BUt seriously, the jedi get killed too easily and like someone said before, it kills the jedi mystique. They just seem like a little above average people, not the mysterious wielders of the force theyre supposed to be.

And yeah, anakin swearing himself as apprentice was kind of abrupt...there really was no reason why he had to do so that quickly, especially when he felt bad after being responsible for mace windu's death.

Anakin was ****ing me off. I was happy to see him burn.

Long live obiwan.
