Did anyone watch Les Mis

I saw it three times. Omg. Best movie ever. I read the book and saw the stage production, and this was still so good.

I saw it twice, best movie of the year, definitely. Won’t say ever though. Cried both times, and want Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway, and Eddie Redmayne all to win Oscars.

Nah, the Hobbit is the best film of the Year

Just no.

Top 10 (Which I wrote about for UChicago!)

 1. Les Mis
 2. Life of Pi
 3. Zero Dark Thirty
 4. Django Unchained
 5. Argo
 6. Moonrise Kingdom
 7. Cloud Atlas
 8. Skyfall
 9. Silver Linings Playbook
 10. Lincoln

My daughter loved it. She said she would love to go again with me:).

Also, was I the only one who fell in love with Samantha Barks?

No. Her final scene is when the tears started.

It was so amazing, the whole film was stunning, I cried so much…

My only complaint is that the guy who played Javert (don’t remember his name) had no phrasing in any of his songs.

But otherwise, oh my god. The ending was very well done
This better win some Oscars. Unlike the Black Swan, though, there can’t be any suing :P

I don’t expect it to win anything except Anne Hathaway and maybe production design/costumes, though I’m predicting other movies for those, aka Anna Karenina.

It was amazing =)

Hobbit was good too, but les mis really just captivated me<3

Guess I’m the only one who hasn’t seen it (and don’t plan to)…sorry guys, musicals aren’t my type.

It was SO amazing :). It made my mom cry, and she never cries in movies!

Samantha Barks=<3 SO AMAZING! On My Own was my favorite song!

I swear it doesn’t come out until the 16th anywhere??? Maybe that’s just the UK…

Pretty much just the UK. Been out here since Christmas and it came out in South Korea (?!) weeks ago.

Aside from Russell Crowe (whom I felt was just so-so), I thought the movie was pretty fantastic. I’m going to have to disagree with CSIHSIS, though. I think Moonrise Kingdom and Argo are better, and though I haven’t seen it yet, Zero Dark Thirty probably is as well (Kathryn Bigelow’s superb direction of The Hurt Locker makes me think this). My personal favorite is Moonrise Kingdom.

Moonrise was souverainement beau.

Anderson outdid himself.

Humph. I thought it was a British movie as well  I love Eddie Redmayne and historical films so I’m very excited for it still :)

I’m rooting for Moonrise Kingdom to get a surprise best pic nomination. It’s guaranteed original screenplay :D
