<p>Hey guys! So a few friends and I had the idea to start a peer counseling group at our school. We've talked it over with the administration, and they seem open to the idea. We, however, need to come up with the "basics"--how the "counselors" will be chosen, what their actual responsibilities are (are they just listeners, should they actually "counsel" and give advice, etc.), when it is okay for them to call upon a teacher--that kind of stuff.</p>
<p>So I was wondering if your schools have a similar peer counseling group? If so, how is it run? How much and what kind of responsibility do the "counselors" have? Is the system effective/useful?</p>
