Starting off with a rocky start in some classes >.<

We started school August 20th, so this the start of my third week. I'm looking at my grades online but they are "okay" I have 2 B's and a C and 100 percent (I have 6 classes those are the ones posted up)

I know you guys are gonna say it's the 12th day of school, chill out which is so true, but still it's annoying, like for instance I'm in Honors English 3 and last year in the Honors English 2 class it's was so laid back, I'll admit I didn't do much and I got an A+! But the new teacher has a reputation for being very strict and not.."rude" but lame and dry as far as his personality goes and we had a little short essay assigned which I did the night before it was due and man did I have plenty of grammar errors..lets just say I got a D+.

It's not that big of a deal since it's the second of 2 grades he's put in so far lol but it's still makes me feel worried like I'm gonna trapped in that grade range and there's no turning back idk :P

sorry for grammar errors I wrote this really fast lol

Junior year btw

maybe there is grade deflation.

“You deserved a D. Next time do A work and you’ll get an A.”

A teacher said this to me once and I was p!sseded when she said it. But it’s so true. You must perform to that teacher’s standards, plain and simple.

^ Screw that, if your work is eminent to you and other adults, it’s good. My English teacher is just picky, giving me a D on word choice for using higher level words…

Microsoft Word 2007 corrects all of my stupid grammar errors…and our school computer labs use it along with windows 7. :)

Anyways, I always try to get off to a strong start. But if you don’t you can still bounce back, but you need to get 95+ on everything to make significant gains.

^ Windows 7 already? Your school must have money lol. My school is cheap and spends all their money on useless things. We still use XP Pro and old computers.

We had Windows XP when I was in 6th and 7th grade. The computers were circa 2002. Then they just skipped Vista and converted everything to Windows 7.

The computers were really old until this year.

kool story brah.

That happens to me but eventually the grades even out.

I remember I got a 29/45 on a Memorizing Prepositions quiz in language, first grade for 3rd quarter(2nd semester). It rebounded to a 96 average for the quarter and 97 for the semester.

ty guys…

It’s okay, I already have a C in AP Comp, and i’ve only been in school 3 days…I failed 2 quizzes :(

Well, you probably deserved that one, I mean grammar is the easiest thing there is. You probably could have done better work in 5 minutes if you had used proper grammar and not put a lot of thought into the actual work. My English teachers give essays an automatic F (50%) if they have more than 2 typos per page, and frankly I think they are perfectly entitled to do that because even kindergarteners know grammar.

Aside from that, it is very possible to bring your grades up. I had six F’s freshman year, in six classes. At the end I got an A+, four A’s and an A minus…

Yeah.

Also, if you’re starting out great, they can plummet.

I currently have 97+ in all my classes after 5 weeks, but I’m sure they’re going to tumble soon. -_-

XD thank guys again I’m doing better in that class, now it’s Algebra 2 I’m worried about now lol

Darnit, my Geometry grade tumbled to 96.876% after getting 94 on a test(teacher doesn’t round)

My 97+ streak is over…
