State AP Scholar in California

Hello!

So, I heard being a State AP Scholar in California is extremely hard because there are numerous overachievers. I also know that you need to take most AP exams and have the highest average score overall. I have few questions:

How many AP exams did the recent State AP Scholar take in California? (At least how many should I take)?

Do you have to have most APs by the time you become SENIOR or JUNIOR?

How do the collegeboard know that a student has taken most APs? (Just curious...)

How do they notify you that you are qualified for State AP Scholar?

Will achieving this help me raise my chance going to good college?

Than you!

By the time you graduate and they base it off your ap scores. 2012 winner was 18 ap exams with average score of 4.83
