Hey guys. So I have been debating on whether or not to state a major prereq as planned on the TAU. For my major (political science), I have met the minimum requirements of prereqs completed (3/5, and this is for UCLA), but I wanted to take a 4th polisci class that they don't offer at my CCC or most others. The only way I can take the class is online, and I was thinking of taking it through Foothill. They have offered it in the past but they have not released the courses they are offering for the spring quarter (which starts in march). Even if foothill releases the courses offered during the spring before the TAU and are offering it, I will still have no guarantee as to whether or not I will actually get the course. Do you guys think I should list it as planned? Again, I have met the minimum for major requirements, but listing (and hopefully getting the 4th prereq) would if anything improve my chances. I just don't want UCLA to think I was lying on my app...

Yes, list is as Planned if you haven’t scheduled it by the time TAU is due. If you find out late that you can’t get in, call them ASAP and explain. If you can enroll before then, list it as IP.

Also, if you’ve got spring classes at Foothill, make sure they send your transcripts on time! Spring quarter ends really late, so it cuts a bit close to deadlines.

Thank you!
