I've read everything I can find on UNC's website about the number of transfer students who are accepted each year, but I cannot find anything about the GPA range of those students, or other qualifications. My son is considering applying to transfer to UNC from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, which is very competitive and is ranked in the top 20 undergraduate b-schools along with Keenan Flagler. I know students apply to transfer from all kinds of schools, some more challenging than others. Just curious how much this is taken into consideration in the admission decision.

It’s tricky to find, but the class profile has some info on admitted transfer students: [Class Profile | University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill | Office of Undergraduate Admissions](Our Newest Class - Undergraduate Admissions)
Average college GPA 3.62
25th-75th percentiles
—SAT Critical Reading 550-660
—SAT Math 560-670
—SAT Writing 540-650
From what I’ve read, the prestige of the college one is transferring from is sometimes taken into consideration, albeit not heavily.

Thanks wluy13. This is helpful!
