Hi, I'm a new member here...Thanks for all old postings that talked about transfer to Stern@NYU, I really got help from them...

I'm currently a freshman @ UIUC college of business. GPA for my fr year is estimated around 3.9 I want to transfer since I don't like the situation of UIUC I like big cities where are inspirations. UIUC is famous for accountancy programs however I don't really enjoy accountancy I would probably choose Finance as my major. And the most important thing is that my boyfriend now works in Wall St and I really want to be with him, he is my guiding light.

I have some advantages I guess.
1) prestige of UIUC is fine
2) My classes currently taking at UIUC are of some difficulty. I have two 3 level accy courses for my first sophomore semester (ACCY 301 Accounting Measurement & Disclosure & ACCY 302 Decision Making for Accounting credit) and 3 level business administration course
3) I took AP BC Calc. in my junior yr of high school and got A which sufficient the MATH231(calc. II) of UIUC. In fact I don't have to take any math course @ UIUC. (However I also see this as a shortcoming I don't know if the admission officers will suppose I lack math education in college)
4) I'm trilingual (English, my native language, French@intermediate level) I don't know if this helps. I'm looking for taking a French level test which will be approved by colleges. Any suggestions?

And shortcomings
1) I have little ec (only one intership as translator of my father;s small business...uhhh). the only stuff I can put on my resume perhaps is 'member of PES national honor society' DEFINITELY I'm looking for volunteering opportunities for sopho yr.
2) The professors who can give recommendation letters do not have strong educational background.
3) I will transfer as a junior
4) My SAT insanely sucks. (took it in Oct, 2011. R610 M790 W610) SAT II(took in May 2011)chemistry 780 /mathe level2 780/ physics 740
5) I'm an international student and my TOEFL is not good either. However my BF told me since I have 2 years in american college (till the day I transfer) I don't have to worry about this.

So that's all about me. I would appreciate any help, Merci beaucoup...
