Is it possible that the business school took kids over qualified, and most of which will probably end up going to (not necessarily) a better business school? It seems like the ones who got in, have a plethora of options, some schools which rank higher then UIUC. If so, will the Business class be the smallest one in recent history?

^^this could be the case with me. i was accepted to business school but honestly consider it a backup, but a very good backup plan

Well, I was accepted to business and let's just say UIllinois is very high on my list of options and there's a very high probability that I'll end up going there.

3.3 uw gpa
2160 SAT
Very few ECs worth mentioning
Competetive public high school(OOS)

The only thing that might've helped me was my SAT score and maybe my essays. But otherwise my stats were average, to say the least.

The last couple years, the business college has tended to admit about twice the number it hopes to enroll. The result has been, to its chagrin, that a higher percentage have enrolled than it expected causing some overcrowding. The intent this year was thus to lower its number of admissions somewhat (and offer more the "alternative" college option) in the hope of coming closer to the target enrollment. How that will ultimately effect enrollment is not yet known.
