Strange Situation

I am what many would consider the unapplied mind. I am very good at test taking and school in general, when I try. I slack off more than I should so my grades suffer accordingly.

Stats:
GPA(weighted): 3.7
Rank: 278/960 (yea crazy I know)

SAT:
R - 640
M - 800
W - 640

NHS
Varsity Cross Country
Varsity Track
Billiards Club Vice President

5 APs by graduation

My question is, despite my otherwise mediocre applicability, will my 800 math score do anything significant for me? AKA get me admitted where I might not have been before? Or perhaps even a reasonable scholarship?

I'm not talking Ivy league hear, I'm thinking UT or the like.

A 3.7 is a great GPA. Your SATs are amazing. You have a great shot at any state school :-).

3.7 weighted, regulars classes are worth 4.0, honors 4.5, AP 5.0, so i'm basically a B+/A- student. My point is that the scores don't match the student, ya know?

The real deal is that I'm not in the top 25%. Our valeditorian has a 4.54, so I'm screwed. Texas also has an automatic admit policy for the top 10% of in-staters, so there I am double-screwed.

Honors worth 4.5?
I think you mean 5.0 also.

I agree with amiradaprincess.
