Stuck at a 28 for reading

I read about every thread on the ACT section (to pick up tactics) :D
BUT I just can't break from a 28 on the reading section & I have used every strategy. Anything else I can do? :(

............................................

Go check out sparknotes online. It's free and its got some pretty good advice.

Dunno if you did these things already, but these are some basic things I guess:

Don't read the questions first

Don't read for specific details, but don't skim, read for the big picture.

Read like your interested in the excerpt.

I personally don't think reading prep curriculum will help you too much. Just try taking more practice tests and reading through ALL the questions and answers after you're done. Think about what you were thinking at the time of answering the question and figure our why you got the wrong answer. That'll probably do you more good than any prep book will.

Read a lot of hard works, especially one by Charles Dickens. After reading each chapter, go for the cliffnotes and see if you're looking at the right ideas. This will help your reading comprehension.

aight, I will make sure and try that.

any1 else?

learn more grammar? lol i dunno
that whole section is grammar with the exception of getting the big ideas. for the big idea parts, reading would definetely help, but as for the other parts you just have to know the rules.
my score varies a lot too
i get like 27-31s =/
i hope i get the 31 on the real thing lol

LOL thats good and all but I was talking about the reading section -_-
not the english but ty tho :)

Any improvement thus far?

nope...the last reading section, I got a 27!!! EKKK!
I need to get atleast a 29!

ohh reading..
