How do you know if your football ticket is on your Carolina Card? DD got her ticket during the on demand period today and the email says they will transfer the ticket to the Carolina Card but is there a way to confirm that?

/She’s so lucky! My d is all upset because she had a nursing course this evening during the in demand period and didnt get a ticket. She s so bummed out! ;(

Oops lots of typos in the above message!

New to this…What was the “in demand period” and how was that advertised? My S didn’t get a ticket and is bummed out. Any way that additional tickets will be made available between now and Thur?
Thanks!!

If they requested a ticket last Thursday and didn’t get awarded one, then they could try today during the on demand period. An email was sent out regarding this. Any unclaimed tickets are up for grabs so to speak. I saw a tweet that there were something like 1700 tickets released for the students at 5:30 today and they were all gone at 5:33. DD was told by friends to be logged and ready to start clicking at 5:30 on the dot which is what she did and got lucky!

Yes my d says a lot of people did not get them. Hopefully better luck next time!

I hate that students who want tickets can’t get them…

On demand tickets don’t usually go that fast! When D was freshman, at her first game she got an on demand ticket, but for most others got one during regular ticket request (although she didn’t even try for Clemson). I know they send out emails, so be sure you or your student regularly check emails. Information is also usually in Daily Gamecock - pick up copy or put app on phone. General guidelines are on student ticket site.

For students who go, check after game to be sure you were credited with being there. We are on a slightly different system again (!) and I know in the past sometimes there were problems with students not being credited loyalty points for attending or worse, penalized as though they were not there. You only have a certain amount of time to correct that so don’t wait until next time you request tickets to look at account.

FYI for OOS students. Last time USC played Clemson at home, dorms opened early for students to come back to campus for game since it is over Thanksgiving break.

Go Gamecocks!

I know it’s the negative parts of being a freshman, I just feel bad because my d is bummed that her friends from the hall who were able to get on the computer during the on demand period were able to get them and those kids who were in class at 5:30 knew they didn’t have a chance . It’s just hard for them when their group of friends are all going. I hope she gets one next time because now she loses out on a loyalty point too, although she’s been trying to get points elsewhere! With the team expected to have a good season, I’m wondering if this will be a recurring thing.

Somehow my DD got a lower deck seat during the on demand yesterday - she is so excited but she feels bad for those that didn’t get them. She had her ethernet cord plugged in and was ready to press “enter” at 5:30. She had a class that started at 6PM so she didn’t have much time. I will tell her to check to make sure she got the “loyalty points”

I disagree. The on-demand period my freshman year opened up at midnight and I didn’t get tickets the first time because they were all gone within minutes even though I logged on at midnight.

Freshmen WILL get tickets to games in the near future. If they’re persistent, they’ll get them on-demand within the first two or three games and then after that, they’ll start getting them in the main system. You also have to remember that it’s pretty easy to lose season ticket privileges and every game there will be no-shows and people getting kicked out for alcohol and other violations.

The important thing for freshmen is to be persistent. Go to the games early to get the extra points, go to any events that offer extra points, and do everything you can to get on-demand tickets. Upperclassmen are lazier and don’t work so hard to get tickets because they start with more points and have been doing it for a couple of years, so freshmen really do have a chance if they’re persistent.

I think this season is going to be weird not just because of strong team, but the home schedule is so November heavy…only one home game each in Sept and Oct and then 4 in November.

For kids that don’t get ticket in request time, try getting trusted friend to do on-demand if in class. But I agree that most freshmen will get a ticket to some games.

/\ /\ thanks for all the above advice… I’m passing that on! I wasn’t even thinking about all the ways students might lose privileges over time but that makes sense. Now my d and some friends are thinking about stub hub, but the cheapest ones are 50.00 so that would add up after awhile!
