Study Abroad Anyone?

Anyone planning on it? Looking at the requirements, does that mean we can basically only do this fall or spring of our senior years?
UCLA's says one has to apply 6-9 months in advance.(i

im definately planning on it  i havent exactly gone over the requirements yet, but im gonna find out more info at my orientation next week. Brussels, Paris, London all sounds fun!

yeah i think we need to have our minds made up pretty early on. if i can would love to in the Netherlands.

damn rich people!!! i wish i could do that stuff

I am actually leaving to study abroad in 1 1/2 weeks…I’ll be in South Africa for 4 months and it’s going to be amazing :)

The number 1 regret of graduating seniors is that they didn’t study abroad…I don’t want that regret.

Iildimsum: I am FAR from rich and so are most of the ppl that study abroad. Many of the programs are around the same cost as your time at school or sometimes cheaper depending on the cost of living in that country. Plus, there are scholarships for studying abroad through your school or other websites

lol, it’s pretty expensive, but yea, i guess the people that go aren’t what you consider rich, but im a cheap asian, so it’s a big deal for me

I checked the UC EAP program website. Most of them are around $25,000~30,000 per Academic Year. Not too shabby at all!

if you get financial aid then you will get it for study abroad as well.

However, if you live at home and your parents pay your tuition, or you pay it with part time work etc then it is actually VERY expensive because you only have to pay tuition when you live at home- the other expenses are covered by your parents.

I think I am going to do it for the Spring 2010 semester. Florence, Italy! 10 weeks!

do you know where on ucla’s website I can find the info. on the study abroad program?
