I'm interested in studying abroad, particularly in Europe or Asia. I am on a Presidential Scholarship (I need to graduate within 8 semesters) and I'm a Marshall business student. Currently, I'm a freshman. I am considering double majoring in Accounting (to cater to a pre-finance emphasis). How will this double major affect the feasibility of my studying abroad and what is the appropriate course to take?

Thank you

I was also a business major. I can probably say this for everyone who has studied abroad and that is GO! It will be the best experience of your life. There is also a list of abroad schools (should be somewhere on the Marshall IEP website) where you can get certain concentrations fulfilled abroad. At least that’s how it used to be, not sure how much the program has changed.

rocnation,

Marshall encourages study abroad. On the Marshall website click on Office of Overseas Studies. Click on Business Beyond Borders. There is information which will assist you in your choices and the large number of study abroad opportunities.

Make a plan for studying abroad, and talk to your advisor about it. You will have to figure out which classes you want to take abroad, once you decide which school you want to go to.
