I’m studying for SATs this summer & also for Calculus for the coming school year. (The only marks that count for Ontario universities are grade 12 marks & I want to go into pre-med type programs on scholarship so I need to get like 99%, lol.) I feel kind of bad because for the past four or five days I’ve been busy with stuff like weddings, family/family friend parties & all that, so I really need to get back on track with my studying. I’m also thinking about self-studying some APs. Maybe Environmental Science or something like that. :)

Maybe so, but there sure are a lot of them at Arizona State too. Lol

Wow reading all these replies, makes me want to study more. I’ve only been studying for like 30 min- an hour. I feel like an underachiever lol

Lol none

You filthy slacker.

3-4 hours daily. ACT, SAT II, and Online classes :(

0… 10 char

0 hours per day. LOLZ

Only about an hour a day (if that much) during the beginning of the summer (first two months). Now that it’s the final month, I’ll be doing a lot more work (~3 hours?). There’s not too much for me to do, and I don’t count reading as studying because I like it! xD

How the Hell do you guys do it? I always tell myself I will, but I procrastinate until I get 0 hours of work done that day…such as today…

^A useful tactic I employ is to keep
my books/study materials with me at all times while at home. That way, if I’m watching TV, I suddenly feel the urge to study when I see my Biology book sitting right there. It basically lessens the amount of effort you must exert to study, whilst making the study materials more accessible. Try it sometime!

Of course, you could always just buckle down and do it. It takes will power, though.

^You crazy?? I leave my bio book near my bedside cuz looking at it makes me sleep

Haha I guess it would work for that too. I’m studying Bio because I enjoy it. If you have a book lying around that you planned to study (hopefully because you like the subject), you might feel differently. Who knows?

I don’t necessarily need to study during the summer. I was at Governor’s School for the first month of my summer, so I was technically studying/learning then. I do have quite a bit of summer homework, however, so I’ve been working on that about 30 min-2 hours a day in total, in like 15-30 minute increments. I’m pretty lazy, but it’s whatever.

18 hours a day. 10 hours SAT prep. 4 hours summer work. 1 hour spent learning 4 new subjects.

My summer has been very productive.

lmao only kidding.
more like 6-8 hours a day, except wednesday, when im volunteering & weekends

First month of summer = 0.
Second month of summer = 0.
Third month of summer = five bajillion. Yes, I add hours to the day to handle all the studying I have to do.
But really, I don’t sleep much as school approaches, because I concentrate on all my summer work and try to learn random languages.

But when you’re 62, you can’t do half the things you can do as a kid.

I’m in decathlon so my days go something like
7am do my morning stuff
8:30-9:00 get to decathlon (I have to take the bus)
9-3 study Decathlon stuff (imperialism)
3-5 relax
5-9 study SAT/AP

i usually fall asleep doin SAT practices -.-

i think 2 hrs is the max for me LOL
