Submitting additional short essay in "Additional Information" section?

I'm having trouble deciding which essay to submit. Should I submit an essay in the "additional information" section?

I always thought this was viewed as annoying by admissions officers, but that's what my counselor told me to do (although he hasn't been the world's biggest help in this admission's process).

Thanks in advance!

bump please

Bump, I want to know too!
Should it be an essay or be in say bullet form?

I have this same question TBH.

I don’t think they want another 1000 word essay. I believe you are limited to 150 words or 1000 characters. My daughter used this space to say more about her extracuricular than would fit under the short answer section.

I’m pretty sure the limit is 250 words. I wrote an essay about my passion for food and what it has taught me.

You are probably right. That’s if you up load it. If you type in the box provided, it’s 1000 characters. BTW, are you converting your word documents to .pdf before you up load?

No, I’m keeping them as word documents why?

Just curious about what everyone else is doing. The common application will convert them to pdf automatically. It goes slightly faster if you do it yourself. I work in an office (I’m a mom) and I never send a document out in word because it can be changed by the receiver. I don’t think that’s a problem here, so don’t worry. My daughter pdf’d everything because the formatting of one of her documents got weird when it was uploaded straight from word. It must have had something to do with the way the margins were set.
