If I am applying Early Action to MIT, I would have to fill out the CSS Profile. I am doing that right now. But is it necessary to list out ALL schools that I am applying for including Regular Decision? If not, then is there any benefit in filling out the CSS Profile for ALL schools this early? Thanks!

We had the same issue. DD didn’t fill in the other schools when she completed the estimated Profile for her EA school. BUT here is what happened later…we had to pay to have the estimated Profile sent later on (in Feb) to all the other schools AND we also then had to amend the Profile to reflect the updated information from our tax returns. I believe it cost us more to submit later as we had to pay an additional processing fee…then if we had submitted the estimated one everywhere the first time.

Remember, the Profile has to be updated by hand, unlike the FAFSA which can be done online.

You also need to contact EACH school regarding their procedure for updating the Profile…it varies.

Thanks! Yea, I just completed the registration process and listed all 11 schools that I am applying to that accept the CSS Profile.
