Subway

How close is Fordham to a subway station? I know the B train is very close, but is it walkable from the B train stop to Fordham campus in the Bronx?

Assuming your referring to the Rose Hill campus, since you mentioned the Bronx, you also have the D which is at walking distance. There's the 4, which you could walk to it, but most people take the 12 bus a couple of blocks leaving you underneath the elevated station. There's also the Metro North, literally right next door to the campus, and that takes you to Grand Central station on the east side of Manhattan or to upstate NY.

At Lincoln Center you really do have a smorgasbord of trains to pick from, all at walking distances.

Do you know which of the subway stations close to RH is attended? We had an unpleasant experience with an unattended one with guys jamming the machines and then trying to sell us change. It was more annoying than anything. (I'm from Tennessee, but, as my brother says, "I'm not just any 'ole hillbilly.") Anyway, my d will be going to Fordham this fall so it's not an idle question. Thanks for any help you can give.

I know that the Metro North station is attended, altough I'm not sure if its round the clock. The #4 train station is as well, and that one does have at attendant around the clock and often times one or two police officers. I dont ever take the D or the B so I'm not sure about those.
