Suggest me a dorm? my sis is in Unit 1 :)

Hey, so I just submitted my SIR, and I'll be studying in UCBerkeley in Fall 2009!
I will probably major in something like - Econ, Stat, Math, Bio, or Chem (somethig math-y or scienc-y), so could you suggest me some dorms that are...

**
social: I'd like the dorms to be social :)
**proximity: **Closer to the campus (esp. freshman classes) the better.
**food:
If it's digestable, it's find with me. (if the food is too good, I'll get fat!!)
quality: **As long as there are no like centipedes coming out of the matress...
(seriously, the very old house I used to live in had freaking ANTS coming out of the sink. ANTS!!)
**price: **Obviously the lower the better.
**sports facility:
If there's like some treadmills/ pools that'd be nice :)

And I prefer Co-ed ;)

My sis lives in Unit 1.. I think I might want to stay with her, but I heard that the Units are really crowded..
and I'll be living in Triple rooms to save some $$.

*So could you suggest me a dorm?
*What are the differences between the three units?

Thanks in advance!!

(I don't want CKC since they'll be going through a renovation = noisy..)

My sister lives in Unit 1,

Dorm 3. forsure. come meet me to (:

Dorm3= Unit 3?

I looked at the description and it sounds cool
Does it fit my ‘criteria’? lol

btw,
I just looked at the Berkeley map, and it’s HUGE!!
How do I get to all the classes? (esp. ones in the north…)

uhm. i’m going to assume you’re not handicapped. so…walk. or run. (last resort is taking the bus if you get really lazy…notice it’s lazy and not late)

unit 3 i guess would be your best bet. 1 is good too.

1 but I saw the campus map…
and it looks really crazy big…
and the math / econ building are on the other side of campus aren’t they?
so should I pick CKC or Foothill or stern?

yeah, getting around isn’t a big problem. The longest would be class from south-east to north-west (uphill), and that would take roughly 12-14 minutes walking fast. Bus isn’t reliable unless you can catch it right when you walk out the building (i.e. not worth waiting for).

From your description, Unit 1, 2, or 3 would work.

Unit 3 double or triple definitely. That’s where I live and it easily fulfills all your criteria.

thanks so much!
Unit 3 triple it is ;)
