I just finished Zeitoun and it didnt suck at all :) What did you think? What kind of stuff will we do when the author comes to the school?

I’m going to be a sophomore but I definitely want to read Zeitoun! My roommate let me borrow What is the What for the summer, and I’m really excited to start reading Dave Eggers.

The author will come give a speech for everyone at Matthews Arena (which I’m really hoping to attend!), and you’ll have a chance to line up to ask him questions. If you’re in the honors program, you’ll have a more intimate discussion with him (and be more likely to have your questions answered) and get your book signed.

Just finished it and thought it was great! Well, shocking, to say the least. I cannot wait to see Dave Eggers talk about this book. Hopefully I can get a question answered.

was it a quick read?

it took me like 3-4 days to read it, so its not THAT bad. it has 335 pages and starts on page 13. So compared to what you probably have had to read in high school, its not horrible. plus there’s some good/shocking parts to keep you going.

I was actually really hesitant about reading it at first. I kept putting it off because it sounded boring but it took one day without electricity to get me started and…I absolutely loved it!
Once I started I couldn’t put the book down. It was a surprisingly emotional read, and also short and simple.
Definitely looking forward to the activities concerning the book.

The book wasn’t what i expected at all. It was a suprisingly engaging read, and definitely made me think. It’s a pretty easy read. I read it in one night, maybe over five hours or so?

Ok I’ll commit one of these days to start haha…
It sounds like it’s liked
