Summer 2010 transfer students

I feel that because they are now working on accepting and rejecting our applications we need our own thread. Personally my application is yet to be reviewed. What status is your guys application at?

international in state applicant …sociology major. i just checked my status and still initial review :(

Still awaiting initial review??? Have you called them yet?

just checked my status and “We have received all materials” finally i am so so nervous !!
@aylagator what is your status ?? well i called 2 weeks ago to ask about the final notification date and they told me mid June but the school starts June 21th hahaha

I have been in the received all material stage for about three weeks now. I’m thinking that we are probably going to start hearing back in the next few weeks.

Does anyone know if you can register for summer classes before going to an A&O session? They only have spring and autumn quarters listed here: [First Year Programs - Getting Started at the University of Washington](http://fyp.washington.edu/orientations/)

Tiburon17 –

I also applied to transfer for Summer 2010. Several months ago I e-mailed Sarah Stubbs, she’s one of the people who runs the whole transferring process. She told me you can’t actually register for classes until you have been officially accepted, and once you do get accepted you sign up with an advisor at the new student orientation you’re supposed to attend.

Just in case anyone is wondering about housing, it’s the same case. You can’t apply until you’ve been accepted and they give you an official student number. During May/June, when we should be hearing back from UW, the school will still be accepting housing applications. I talked to the people who are in charge of on campus housing, and they said that for summer they normally have enough room to house students.

I hope this helps :)

Just out of curiosity, are any of you transferring from a 4 year university?

Ahhhh!!! Today. Status reviewed. Mine change. UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT LOADED! Eyes. Tears in them. Ability to talk. Limited. Ahhhh!!!

@aylagator congrat!! are you a resident student? what is your major and gpa ? i am anxious! International Transfer applicants are notified beginning in late May…
this wait is killing me :(

Thanks!! I’m an in state community college transfer student with an AAUCT and a 3.95 gpa. I’m so excited!!!

Ahhh congratulations!!! :D

Thank you thank you! Everything is showing up! My major is listed as Economics and I have a student number (I even have it memorized)!

My acceptance letter came yesterday (my dad opened it before I came home :frowning: ). My big packet should be coming in the next two weeks. So the unofficial transcript trick worked for me. :)
