So apparently summer 2012 transfer decisions won't be mailed until May-June...a couple weeks before the start of the quarter.. So that's just that much longer we have to wait for acceptance letters (or in my case, a probable rejection, but I'm just being pessimistic), and less time to prepare for the start of the quarter.

Here's my question, and it's regarding financial aid, but first a little background. In January I was accepted into The Ohio State University for the spring quarter of 2012, but ultimately I was not able to commit due to financial issues. Part of my issue was that it costs well over $40,000 per year in out of state tuition to attend, and the other part was that I was completely ineligible to receive any financial aid whatsoever. No Pell Grants, no loans, no FAFSA, nothing (If I must explain why I was unable, I will). Since I came to this sudden realization within days after I was accepted, and my family didn't have enough time to prepare financially (even though I had been telling them for the past 6 months that I had applied to Ohio State and I need financial aid...but that's a different issue), I do not want to come to the same sudden realization in an even shorter time frame.

As of now, I am still completely ineligible for financial aid. I've been paying for Bellevue College completely out of pocket with a full time job. Now, I don't mean to sound ungrateful for everything my parents have done for me for my entire life, but I will say that it is their fault that I am not eligible for aid (again, if I need to explain why, I will). All of my taxes have been filed months before the deadline, and my FAFSA has been completed, sent in, and received well before the deadline.

Bellevue College has sent me emails saying that I need to complete "verification forms" and include signed copies of my tax returns as well as my parent's tax returns (and I can't complete these forms because we lack the required materials...). OSU did the same thing, and I'm expecting UW to do the same thing. My question is this: When will UW send out letters/emails requesting additional information IF they need it? Is there any way that I could bypass it IF they need additional information that my parents don't have? I asked Bellevue College the same question, and they said that I will be unable to receive any financial aid until I get ALL of the required documents in..
