Summer 2012 Transfer Decisions

Yes, unless he applied after their priority deadline of January 31st.

I applied last week…Hah. Their Fall 2012 transfer app was still open, so I applied. I’m pretty sure that I’m going to get in. They already have all of my application materials, so it’s just under review now.

I applied to UW for Electrical Engineering with a secondary choice of Astronomy, and I was denied, so it’s not just Business :P

Jankov, have you heard back yet? Or anyone else?

Nope, nothing yet…It has to be this week…But, as it’s getting closer, I’m developing pessimistic tendencies :)

I haven’t heard back yet but my unofficial transcript loaded Saturday morning. I applied to the social work program as a transfer from a CC.

you and me both, jankov. My friend, who is a community college applicant with an AA and applied as a Society, ethics, and human behavior major, heard back and was accepted last Friday (May 25th). It makes me pretty dang nervous…

Sounders,
Since your unof. Transcript loaded, it is almost certain that you’ve been accepted. You can slowly start preparing.
There is no changes on my online application status yet. I will be really ****ed if they complicate things for me, when they’ve accepted me just couple of quarters prior - the appeal is lean, mean, and ready. :)

Censored word is “p issed.” I’m not that vulgar. :)

Kate, Did you apply for a program or just for the general admissions?

hello,
when it says your unofficial transcript has loaded, does that mean all of your CC classes have came through on it?? I am transferring from a 4 year, but I took a high school class at UW so my unoffical was already there.

Are you guys transferring from a 4 year university? I’m already at UW, but my boyfriend is hoping to transfer from a 4 year from out of state. He’s from Washington though and he still hasn’t heard back. Also, what are your stats/major?

collegequestions, we mainly mean an empty unofficial transcript. It doesn’t contain anything, it’s blank. But it usually has the major in there and the campus, at which you have been accepted. It will take several more weeks for transferred credits to appear there.

In your case, the unofficial transcript apparently doesn’t mean anything, UNLESS, it indicates your intended major.

Hey seatac,

you just reminded me…despite the fact that my unof. transcript hasn’t loaded, nor are there any changes to my application status, but when I click on the registration, my name, the current time and date, and my major are listed, and I am wondering if this is the case with everyone, or could it be a glimpse of good news. Or, maybe, it is just the forgotten and overlooked trace from my previous acceptance.

jankov, I think that means you are in. I am a visiting student this year and I applied for summer quarter. For this last quarter, I was able to register for summer as a “visiting arts and science” major, and today it switched to my application major, statistics. I called the office today and they said while they couldn’t tell me anything, that my application was sent in the mail and to “be optimistic”. Another thing is that while my unofficial transcript has been there all year, today it just added my high school equivalency statistics. I think it’s safe to say that we have both been accepted, and the letters should come today or tomorrow. I had a 3.0 GPA and transferred from a 4 year.

I have the exact same thing, but I’m admitted.
I hope that others will also reply to you. This way, we can probably find out another way to get the news.

Thanks guys,
Only if someone, without an unofficial transcript or any words yet, can check their online registration tab and confirm if anything is listed, we could possibly have another way of ‘foreseeing’ the decisions :)

Yeah, I mean I think since my major switched from Visiting to Statistics it means that if the major is there then you are admitted. Plus, the lady on the phone essentially told me I was in. I think we are at 99% now jankov!

Hehe, I like your optimism. I’m a realist and skeptic, so despite my question, even if out of 30 people I was the only one with that info listed, I would still probably say: ‘maybe they just forgot to erase that info after they’ve initially admitted me in Winter,’ since I do not know if that info just appeared or if it was there already :)

On the other note, since your ‘major’ info changed, in your case chances are extremely high.

haha, ok i understand. Good luck, let me know when your letter comes!

I didn’t apply for a program since I am a history major, which has minimum requirements. When I go to the registration page, my name the current date and the current time are listed but my major says: (none). When I click to choose intended major, I am given a message that says: “The Intended Major service is intended for current University of Washington students. According to our records, you are not a UW student. (There is no Student Number associated with your UW NetID.)”

so as far as my registration page goes, no good news :frowning: and there have been no changes to my page, no updates to my financial aid, and no loaded unofficial transcript. Although it still isnt the official notification period, I think it is safe to say that I wont be getting one of those gold envelopes :/

congrats to you jankov! I hope your registration page means good things are coming!
