I am a junior and trying to find something for the summer.
I've been participating in Northwestern's CTD Equinox for last two summers,
but I guess this year I wanted to do something else than that, just for the sake of diversity of experience.

Right now, I am looking into the Junior Statesmen Summer School and the Civic Leadership Institution. The JSSS looks really interesting in terms of the courses and the people that will be coming there, since I am interested in poltitics and international relations. But on the other hand, I've been doing a lot of academic stuff, and kind of want to actually go out there and do something. The Civic Leadership project actually provids the opportunity to do service and volunteer work as we learn about the problems of the communities. I think it will make me feel a lot of things about the real world.

I know these two are both excellent, and that I should be the one who will be making the ultimate decision...but I still want to hear your opinions. It will be helpful if someone who participated in the programs reply to my post.

Thank you!
