So summer B is just around the corner and I was wondering if anyone has been able to figure out the book deferment process. I understand you have to be eligible for it, and that this should be posted somewhere on ISIS. I haven't been able to figure it out and I was wondering if anyone has or how you went about getting your books if you have ordered them already.

what is book deferment?

I’m not enrolled for it, but I found this:

[Ask UF How does textbook deferment work at UF?](http://www.questions.ufl.edu/financial-aid/179/)

"The UF Bookstore offers text book deferments to students who are receiving a predetermined amount of financial aid each semester.

The UF Bookstore establishes an amount of credit that you can use to purchase books and supplies. These charges are placed on your UF accounts receivable account and are deducted from your financial aid when your aid is disbursed. There is no special application for a bookstore deferment. If you are eligible for a textbook deferment, your approval will be indicated on the View Course Textbook Requirements page through ISIS."

so basically its just using your financial aid to pay for your books. its not extra financial aid you get for the books. i dont see the point…?

The POINT is that you can order the books BEFORE financial aid is disbursed. That’s the only good thing about it, however, UF bookstore is expensive and you will get better deals buying the books (amazon or buy.com) or renting them online (www.campusbookrentals.com is a great website for it, it has some offers that are way better than Chegg)
