Can anyone explain or send me a link about what Summer B is exactly? I have not found any relevant information. First hand experience with it would be great as well!

Thanks,

PS: Sorry for clogging up the board with my questions, I just decided I was going to apply to Florida the other day and I am new to all of their "things."

Summer B is one of three summer sessions at UF. It is going on right now. It started Jun 29 this year and ends around August 8 (?). It is about 6 weeks long. Some of the dorms are open during Summer B. Statistically, it is a little easier to be admitted during Summer B, though I haven’t been able to figure out why that would be. The average SAT scores are lower for summer admits. If you look under class schedules on ISIS, you should be able to get an idea of the classes that were offered this year at Summer B.

Summer B is a semester that is 6 weeks long beginning at the end of June. This year it started on June 29th and ends on August 7. The classes meet more frequently and are longer each day due to the short length of the term.

Freshman often begin in Summer to get a head start and acclimated to college life and they also avoid the craziness that Fall brings with all the new students.

Adding to what has been said, you usually take 2 classes (6 credit hours). It’s a great way to get used to the work level (I’m currently here for Summer B). Highly recommended.

Oh and PS, you make lots of friends so you already know people come fall :)
