I am currently in 8th Grade in a competitive Middle School and will be in a very competitive High School next year. I am currently enrolled in an Accelerated Alg II class and plan to take Accelerated Geometry next year as well as Accelerated Biology.

Recently I found out that three of my good friends are planning to take a for credit class in Geometry in order to be in Pre. Calculus our freshman year. I hadnt plan on taking the class but now I dont know if I am missing the boat and should do it.
Do Universities put much weight on these Summer Courses or is it no big deal? Would it be better for me to take this class now so that I had the opportunity later in High School after taking my AP classes in Math to take a higher math class at a local University?

I am willing to take this class even though the two local programs run the entire month of July and one goes into August. They meet every day from 8 to 2:45 and have homework. I would basically be giving up my summer vacation but if good for my college application I am willing to put in the effort.
