I’m a part time manager at in n out, I love investing currently working on programing an algorithm. I’m up over 30% this year on my personal investments. If I get rejected could i appeal with an interview?
I live and breath investing, and know if they met me my chances would drastically improve.
What are my chances?
I just realized that out of state applicants are more likely to get rejected… now I’m super worried about it. I wish there was some weird way I could still have residence, given that I used to live there and my sister still does. sigh The stress feels never ending. Anyone else go back and forth between feeling confident about being admitted to being sure you won’t? I must have done it 15 times today!
@summeroo i definitely feel that. im just waiting until the my status page will finally say that my application is “in review”.
Hello guys,
My status is-> Attention: Your file is in review.
We’re currently reviewing your application for admission. Once a decision has been made the decision will be posted on this site. You will receive an email when your admission decision has been posted to this website. from March 5th.
and I checked that “Financial application status” and Number of Transfer Credit Hours:43.
I hope we can hear good news from UT Austin!
@cathys424 I am with you! Just want it to update to “in review” already. However, looking at past threads some people’s applications go straight from “complete” to decision. So don’t stress too much about it!
@ecollin oh seriously? that’s weird. it just seems like it’s pretty late for it to not be in review yet. do you know when people started getting decisions?
@cathys42 I know! But it may just the a computer default that it is not updating. Last years, the first decisions started around second week of April. So hopefully not too long left!
Can yall please tell me my chances so I can mentally prepare and get ready to move ASAP
@coolguy696969
Unfortunately you are not one of the stronger candidates with a 3.29 GPA and missing prereqs, but its still possible
Thanks bro, I’ll just prepare to do honors at tech and try to do graduate work at UT. wish me the best
Has anyone’s application moved to “in review” yet or is everyone waiting? I know some people said that MyStatus kind of skips that step sometimes but I was just wondering how many people have gone on to that stage. Mine has not yet… I’m not really sure when to expect it to.
@summeroo Mine still says “complete”.
@summeroo mine is still “complete” as well
Can anyone chance me? I graduated high school early so I could apply as a fall 2015 transfer. I have a 4.0 college GPA, but I won’t be finished with my 30 hours until May. I heard we will be evaluated with the CAP students, and I’m worried there won’t be any spots left. Here are my stats:
ACC - 24 hours 4.0 President’s Honor Roll
9 hours in progress at ACC - expected final GPA 3.8-4.0
Working 24 hours a week at PT office
Level 10 competitive gymnast (20-30 hrs/wk)
HS Varsity cheer co-captain
NHS
Many clubs and volunteer activities
1 rec letter from ASL teacher
1rec letter from gymnastics coach
Good essays I think
HS GPA 3.98 but not in top 10% (very competitive school)
Applied for COLA Psych 1st choice and Comm Speech Therapy 2nd choice
I plan to go into Occupational Therapy (grad school recommended psych or kinesiology undergrad for OT) or Speech Therapy
I appreciate any feedback you can give me. My whole family went to UT and I really want to get in for the fall.
Mine is “in review”
Just decided to see what’s going down for this year’s transfer thread. Wow, it’s good to see you guys (Kyotoraz, Yoohoos and CDC) are still after it. Stay positive, and you will join us on the 40 acres next fall.
GymGirl - you are a lock, in my opinion. I have a similar background, but not a level 10 gymnast!), and I got in to COLA English with a 3.75 or so. Competition is tougher for apps with less than 30 hours by March 1, but you have an awesome GPA and ECs.
Coolguy - I think you have a shot. 3.29 is a bit low, but you have a compelling story. For Spring 2015 admission, someone got in with a 3.3. Also, calculus is a prereq for Micro and Macro Theory, not for admission to Econ as a major.
Good luck and Hook’em!! YOU WILL LOVE UT.
Thanks for being real bro! I’m about to put in my two weeks so I can focus on school full time, love the positive vibes in here
I’m not too worried about my GPA but rather the fact of how much space they have. Will they have enough space in CNS or even COLA for the people still finishing their 30 hour requirement?
Does anyone know the average GPA they accept for applicants to advertising or PR in Moody? Is 3.8 high enough for someone with over 30 hours?
