@MathMeany, looks like you hit an internal document:). They send the admission results in streams which probably is rolling admission for them, unlike some other colleges like Cornell/GaTech which just list them all at one particular time. We may start seeing the results sometime very early next week.
@MyUTAustin , I wanted to know when would the engineering decisions be out and what is your major, if you dont mind sharing it.
@MyUTAustin You think that means people who submitted their documents closer to the deadline are at a disadvantage?
I guess I mean–is there a difference between “rolling admission” and “rolling notification”?
@blacksheep1234, I applied for 1st: ChemE & 1nd: CNS undeclared. Per last year, we started getting results 4/12, so I think we may see the first wave around similar time, and it began from Cockrell.
@MathMeany, I’m no expert haha. I don’t think anyone sending late documents would be at any disadvantage. BTW, I had sent my college transcript on 2/16 which was my last document uploaded.
@MyUTAustin THanks.
@MathMeany I know that even if someone who applied in December or someone who applied minutes before the deadline. It doesn’t matter. To be honest i applied seconds before the deadline.
@blacksheep1234 , that’s right. My younger brother applied for 1st choice McCombs freshman and completed his entire application over Thanksgiving break but was one of the earliest ones to be accepted for Fall 2015. His transcripts were received by UT after 3-4 days of the deadline.
@MyUTAustin
what was your brother’s credentials like and major?
@punctiliouseye , he had ACT 33 and a weighted GPA 3.95/5 but big thing I guess was, he was part of the State championship team in Archery and participated at Nationals. Nothing else for EC or voluntary hours…accept the standard NHS and other voluntary work. He got accepted for McCombs undeclared for Fall 2015. I hope I go there too:).
@MyUTAustin That document is just the Common Data Set, every school has one. If you google “School Name Common Data Set” you can find that same info for every school.

College applied for:
1st choice: Liberal arts (economy)
2nd choice: CNS (math)
Quality of essays: Don’t know, but I spent alot of time thinking about them.
1 rec letter from my piano teacher who has known me for 10+years
Extracurricular activities: Secretary of Clean Energy Initiative (CEI), Subcommittee Chair Member of Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), member of club baseball team. Worked and developed a patent
Was admitted as a high school student (Top 8% rule)
Thanks everyone!
Does anyone know how competitive Global Studies and International Relations in COLA is for transfers? My brother applied with that as his first choice and psychology as his second choice. He is worried because he is transferring from UTD with more hours and a lower transfer GPA than he thought. He thought he had 60 hours with a 3.6, but he forgot about his high school dual credit. His record shows 72 hours and a transferable GPA of 3.3. Do you think there is any chance?
Sorry I forgot to mention in my previous post what were my chances of getting in:

If anyone can comment on my chances, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
For the economics major did you have to have a math course like calculus already completed?
@tcast96, yes I completed the calculus requirement.
@tcast96, they did have a calculus requirement, but I am already done taking all my calculus classes. I took calclus I,II,III.
So is calculus required to be admitted to the economics major?
@tcast96 About 2/3 way down the page
@MathmMeany
@tcast96
It seems to me that calculus is required to graduate with that major, and not required to transfer in.
@Toastyful I agree.
Can someone give me their opinion? Trying to transfer into the University of Texas’s COLA for sociology Fall 2015.
