I think I’m at an all time high…I’ve probably checked My Status every 10 mins today…all day…
Same here. Haha. Even though I was told by the counselor my decision will be made in the early June.
when I submitted my application I had hopes that I would find out sometime around early/mid April…and at this point I’ve given up on having any sort of expectations lol
The worst part about all of this is when you check your status and logoff, they redirect you to the front page with an article entitled “WELCOME TO UT FRESHMAN 2019!!!”
I want to be part of that too guise, stop teasing me UT…:’(
It is so cute that today is National Decision Day for picking what university to attend and UT hasn’t sent out thousands of decisions. SO CUTE. nervous laughter
Hey guys, here are my stats:
-University of Texas at Arlington
-currently a freshman
-4.0 GPA first semester, on track to finish with a 4.0 this semester as well, it’s possible I could end with a single B and 4 As
-3 recommendation letters, 1 from a high school teacher, 2 from professors
-Some volunteer experience
-Some extracurricular experience
-33 hours total by the end of this semester.
-Great essays (I’m confident they were my best work)
-No work experience (I’ve got an internship this summer though :D)
-Current major at UTA is intended Business Marketing.
-For my major transferring into UT, I’m currently deciding between the majors of English, Advertising, and Radio/TV/Film.
Can someone give me an honest opinion of what my chances are of getting in? At this point, I just want to focus on getting into UT Austin, as regardless of what major I choose now, I think there’s a good chance I’ll attempt to internally transfer to Business in my later years.

What are the chances of me getting into COLA Economics/Undeclared with a 3.42 with 10/10 essays, great extracurricular and 33 hours by the end of this semester?

For those that have been accepted, is there a deadline date on your mystatus page? Last year, people who had been accepted had an “accept/decline” option with a deadline of May 8th. What is the deadline this year? Thanks in advance.
May 1st for me, accepted April 15th.
I really hope all of this June nonsense is just a smokescreen to get people to stop calling. This wait gets worse as each day goes by.
I just want to get this over with. I’m currently attending UTA and want to leave it ASAP. I’m hoping that even though I’m an international student, my 4.0 GPA will at least get me into COLA Economics.
@aksamq8 I checked last years thread and it looks like the biggest wave of decisions came out around June 16th
@stevenjp good lord. When I applied last year I found out right around May 24, and that was because they still needed to process my final transcript since I was finishing my freshman year. Going to be really annoyed if it’s later than that this year, especially since the 30 hours are already done this time around.

@pnkvilas to be blunt : GPA isn’t high enough for econ. Maybe COLA undeclared you would’ve had the greatest chance. If you get in its most likely due to your essays id assume
@MyLonghorn would an upward trend in GPA help? I had a 3.17 last semester and will most likely get a 3.67+ this sem.
