Any idea when fall decisions go out? I know it’s near june but does it get anymore specific than that?

@Kyotoraz Last year, decisions above the 30 Hr. requirement began to come out in mid April. I don’t know what the time table looks like for this year but you could put your money on that.

This year (for the first time) external transfer, internal transfer, CAP, and PACE students will be put into a single pool for transfer consideration. This means decisions won’t happen until spring 2015 grades for internal transfers, CAP, & PACE become available. Sometime in June is likely.

@PastePotPete‌ Do you know someone inside admissions? I’m just curious

Bump

Anyone know what do you need for Pet. E?

Hey please don’t embarrass me (even I though I will be embarrassing myself with this) but I was wondering if a 2.875 would be even considerable. That was my first semester freshmen yr gpa, and I’m in the spring of it now. Will they look at my spring transcript or no because I know I can improve. I just got tripped up on one class. Also if you have less than 30 credits will they consider you. I will have 29. Thanks! I just want to know if the dream is lost or salvageable.

You have to have 30 hours to be admitted into UT as a transfer student. 2.875 won’t be considered at all. I would aim for a 3.3 to even give yourself a chance.

GPA: 3.46
Hours: 39
After Spring: 54
Major: Aerospace Engineering

Transferring from OOS, but I am a Texas resident.
Essays and Extracurriculars are pretty decent.
No letters of Recommendations.
Strong upward trend in GPA over the past semesters.
Does UT look at the prestige of the college you are transferring from, or just the GPA?

Hey guys can you chance me again? I’m a little worried about my GPA but I think I have some solid credentials to back up my application. My transfer GPA went down a little after I officially submitted everything to UT…

Thank you guys and I hope all of your hear the decisions that you want!

Hi, this is my first post on CC.

I am applying to Cockrell for Civil Engineering. I am currently in a NY community college.

GPA: 3.96
35 credits completed, 13 more in progress

Completed major courses: Calculus I and II

In progress major courses: Calculus III, Calc-based Physics I, Chem I

I have a strong letter from Calc II professor, and I am a member of Phi Theta Kappa.

Am I leaning more towards an acceptance or a rejection? Also, will my in-progress Physics course satisfy the prerequisite or does it have to be already completed by the time I apply?

@cdctransfer‌ well, like last time, you have pretty good chance of getting admit for this stat, but after you said your GPA went down I dont think thats gonna be problem because you’ll get your decision before your final grade arrive, I believe.

@stevenjp‌ does your physics include lab?

@Yoohooos‌ Yes it does

Is it a bad idea if I send the same essay as I submitted my senior year? The essay isn’t the same but the idea of it is.

@smnae1306‌ I would stay away from that. You should really try and write an essay that is closely wrapped around the specific topic. This would just give you a better essay and a better chance into the university.

@smnae1306‌ If it fulfills the prompt then yes you can, as long as you’re content with the essay of course. They absolutely won’t pull up an essay you used for another app years ago and penalize you in any way for it being similar
