AP Lang: NOTHING! :D

AP Psychology: I have to read the first chapter from our textbook and complete some questions.

Honors Entrepreneurship: I have to think of good ideas business ideas.

My summer homework is all optional.

I’m lucky that I only have one class I have to do summer work for, and that is APUSH. I’m really procrastinating it though, I hate US History, would much rather take AP Euro but my school doesn’t offer it. They were going to offer it last year and I signed up to take it but not enough people wanted to do it. Anyway, I have to read the first 3 chapters of the textbook and complete 10-15 questions per chapter, define around 50 terms from chapters 1-3, do two article analyses, and write 2 short papers on 2 movies that we pick from a list (I picked Schindler’s List and Lincoln) explaining how what the movie is talking about has helped shape our history. It’s not really difficult, just I don’t wanna do it lol.

For AP Gov I have to take notes on the first chapter of the textbook then do three writing assignment that require me to do research or use outside sources to support my point of view. And lastly, watch one of the movies listed and answer a long list of questions about them in paragraph form. Not bad!

For summer assignments do the teachers give it out or does the College Board? Just curious.

For me:

1)Gotta do Health and PE over the summer
2)Gotta read Fahrenheit 451 and Death is a Lonely Business and annotate pages then make a powerpoint. ****.

I’m taking like 5 or 6 but I only have summer work for two: AP Lit and AP Calc AB.

AP lit: read a kite runner and to kill a mockingbird. Then do some essays and double sided journals with quotes. I haven’t started.

AP Calc: some packet. It’ll be easy since Algebra 2 and PreCalc are fresh in my head. I just took both this past year.

I’m doing the IBDP, and I’ve got:
IB English HL: test on the first day on The House of the Spirits (UGH! I hate this book so much!), three poems to explicate and write commentaries on, and an excerpt from the book to also comment upon.
IB History of the Americas: Finish IA, and turn it in on day 1
TOK: Make presentation
IB Biology HL: Study Evolution on my own (test soon after we get back), do three pages of essay questions/diagram drawing and labeling on Ecology and Conservation, also prepare to have a test on the first day for that.
Extended Essay: Have a rough draft by the first day of school, with bits and pieces turned in at selected deadlines during the summer.
Fun…

Honors English: Read The Alchemist, The Hobbit, and Haroun and the Sea of Stories

Honors Chemistry: Memorize ions and define terms

AP Euro: Fill in and color maps, memorize Europe states and capitals, read The Prince and answer questions, read a chapter of the textbook and complete a study guide

I have no summer work
but what i am doing over the summer for each class is :
APUSH: Start My IDs (Notecards 1k of them)
AP Lang: Read a few books
AP Chem: Review

APUSH: Read the first 5 chapters of our textbook and do a 100-question mc test on it (done!), read 3 chapters of “Lies My Teacher Told Me” and write a reaction essay (finished reading, just started essay), memorize a list of places, memorize the US presidents and their political parties.

AP Lang: Read “The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks” and write 10 arguments about it, annotate a paper on rhetoric, memorize a whole bunch of literary terms, research all the words we dont know on this page of mc questions (we’ll be given a passage the questions pertain to on the first day of school and have to do the test), and write a skeletal essay for an argument proposal about something that’s going on in the world.

i guess im really lucky compared to some of you lol…

Spanish packet, Pre-calc questions, AP Chem packet, APUSH reading (it’s really long…), and English books

The only time I ever had a summer assignment was during the summer of going into the 5th grade. Needless to say, I ripped that packet up and made the remaining pages into paper airplanes! This summer, however, I’m just mentally preparing myself for college in August

I skipped a year of language after doing it for three years, so I have to relearn a lot before going into AP next year.

I have a general summer reading where I have to pick 1 of 3 books (I haven’t decided yet). I also have AP work for the 2 APs I am taking. In Statistics, I need to read the first 6 chapters and do some problems and for Physics B I have to read 4 chapters and do problems. They’re supposedly review. I haven’t looked at the stats yet, but the physics is stuff like gas laws, some heat, vectors, trig… not worried.

Watch a film and documentary (done!)
Read Zeitoun, The Vietnam War, and The Things They Carried

AP US History - 2 books (The Jungle and Devil in the White City), 3-4 page lit analysis for each

Honors English 2 - 2 books (Tuesdays with Morrie and The Glass Castle), writing assignments for each (not essays)

APUSH: Read about 100 pages of An American Survey and write 2 essays.
Honors Eng 3: Read Pride and Prejudice, 1984, Macbeth, and Lord of the Flies, keep journals on each one.

I’m only taking 4 next year and I have work for 3 of them!

AP Chem: Memorize list of 80 cations/anions. Read first three chapters of text and do every fourth problem at the end of each chapter. Write down any questions on each chapter for a quiz grade.

AP Calc AB: Super easy worksheet. Memorize 13 basic graphs with domains and ranges. Memorize trig chart with degrees, radians, sin/cos/tan.

AP Lit: Read a dreadful mythology book and choose 3 essays from activity chart to do. Read “How to Read Like an English Professor” and do these moment sheet things along with an essay.

I haven’t started and school starts August 28th :frowning: :sob::sob:
