Really? I work at a Hollister store now and that is totally not the case. A&F completely stresses diversity. Most of the employees at my store are hispanic or african american. Our store hires people based on their “look” and how well they fit the brand, but not based solely upon race.

The downside is the low hours, but you’re doing it mainly for experience.

LOL I failed that interview so bad. A&F and Hollister ARE based on looks, even on their hiring card, it goes along the lines of, “Hey! We’re looking for attractive people to represent our brand.” But, in the end, it depends on the manager and what they decide.

The hours SUCK. My friend gets 5 a week. IS IT EVEN WORTH IT…? :B
But I wouldn’t mind working at A&F or Hollister (<3), the music is very nice and your coworkers are also attractive.

Yeah the hours blow but at the end of the day you can always get a second job and use it on your resume as retail experience. Most kids take the job and work once a month just for the discount and then get a second job for better hours. During christmas time/the holidays i get 40 hours a week and make mad money. The rest of the year does suck though.

Ehh I mean if you have a crazy school schedule its not bad because they are super flexible. There is also opportunities to pick up shifts and work more because a lot of kids that work at hollister are in high school and tend to work less. The music is ok for shopping but sucks once you work there, hearing the same 10 songs over and over gets old fast. :/

Have you looked into target? I’ve heard its fun to work there. And I always wanted to apply but none of them are hiring near me.
