<p>With the huge increase in applications and gigantic wait lists at many colleges in the past admissions season, I'm wondering if there's any wait list movement still going on at this late date (August 2011).<br>
Anyone have any news to share? Were you accepted off a wait list this summer? What college? Did you take the spot? Where had you already enrolled?</p>

<p>I know of someone who just got admitted to one school he would much rather attend…they still had space, he applied, he was notified of his admission TODAY.</p>
<p>He had already paid his admission deposit but fortunately no tuition, so he’s good. :)</p>
<p>kayb92 – did this person apply after the regular admissions cycle? (ie, in july?) would you mind mentioning which school he’ll be attending, and at which school he abandonned his deposit?</p>
<p>Yes, he applied in either late June or early July. He decided to do so due to concerns with financial aid.</p>
<p>I don’t know if he would approve of me saying so, but he changed from a public university in Texas to a public university in another Southern state.</p>
